The Mission Police Department is equipped with a 24 hour, 7 day a week detention center. Our facility is a temporary holding facility for the City of Mission prisoners. When a person is arrested by Mission Police he or she is taken to the Mission Jail. Detention Officers staff the jail around the clock to provide supervision and maintain custody of the prisoners. Detention Officers are also responsible for booking and identifying all prisoners. The Detention Center is under the command of a sergeant.
