Amy Tijerina is the City of Mission’s dedicated Community Events Director. In her role, she plans and executes a wide range of events. Her responsibility is to deliver events that improve the quality of life for residents and offer visitors unforgettable experiences.

As part of her role, she is responsible for organizing internal and external events, which involves identifying and coordinating with external venues, negotiating vendor contracts, and managing event budgets. Her attention to detail and strong organizational skills ensure that each event is executed smoothly, with every aspect carefully planned and executed to perfection.

In addition to her regular responsibilities, Amy also plans the Texas Citrus Fiesta celebrations, a significant annual event for the city. This requires her to work closely with Texas Fiesta Board Members and community leaders to ensure that all details are handled, from securing top-notch entertainment to managing logistics and ensuring the safety and security of all attendees. She remains committed to her role and takes pride in delivering memorable events.
