Money raised will be used to help the youth in our Community! Our Mayor Beto Salinas met with Noticias 48 to discuss Mission’s Texas Citrus Fiesta! Our Mission Mayor Beto Salinas and City Council support the Children’s Advocacy Center of Hidalgo County in its mission to stop child abuse and give hope, healing and justice to child abuse victims. The Center is having its annual “Vinos Wine Extravaganza!” at Embassy Suites McAllen Convention Center, Saturday, Feb. 18, from 7:00pm–11:00pm – to raise awareness and funds. Watch, as the City of Mission breaks ground on the new state of the art Mission Events Center. The City of Mission was proud to break ground on what will become the new 40,000 square ft. Mission Events Center located on Shary Road just north of Expressway 83! The future state of the art center will allow larger, better events for citizens, and will be surrounded by 19 acres of hotels, restaurants and retail stores. We are excited for the Mission Events Center’s opening, scheduled for next year. We had a great time at the Texas Citrus Fiesta Product Costume Style Show! Since 1932, participants have exhibited costumes made of Valley citrus, fruits, vegetables and foliage – many of which have been pulverized, dehydrated, blended and microwaved! We administered exams for Entry-Level Police Officer and Firefighter in the City of Mission.
