Our Mission Crime Stoppers attended the “Regional Stakeholder Symposium on Synthetic Drugs” held to educate our RGV Community on the growing trend of Synthetic Drug Use. The City of Mission was the Host City to the 2nd Annual National Blind Tennis Tournament. Nearly 100 players from all over the U.S. and Mexico competed at our Boys and Girls Club of Mission. The City of Mission is working to keep our children safe during the upcoming Spring Break. Our Mission Crime Stoppers gave a Spring Break Awareness Presentation to parents and kids at the Sharyland Plantation’s Homeowners Association. Born in 1916, the Native Texan has 14 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren! The City of Mission joins our Mayor and City Council in wishing Lupita Garza a happy and blessed 100th Birthday! The City of Mission’s Mayor and City Council declare their support for an upcoming event to raise funds for the non-profit Children’s Advocacy Center, Estrella’s House. The mission of Estrella’s House is to stop child abuse, one child at a time. Estrella’s House is having its 6th Annual Vinos Wine Extravaganza at La Antigua Revilla in Edinburg, on Saturday, Feb. 20th, from 7pm – 11pm. The City of Mission welcomed dignitaries from our Sister Cities in Mexico to Mission’s Texas Citrus Fiesta during Mayor Beto Salinas’ International Brunch. Thousands lined Conway for our Texas Citrus Fiesta’s Parade of Oranges, as floats incorporating sliced citrus and locally grown produce made their way through the City!
