The results are in from the Battle of the Badges Community Blood Drive that took place at our Mission City Hall on Monday – and the winner is: OUR MISSION FIRE DEPARTMENT! Congratulations to everyone who participated! It was a close race – in fact, our Fire Department took the win over the Police Department by only 6 votes! BUT, the real winners are the countless patients across the Valley who will receive life saving blood thanks to all of the donors who packed City Hall throughout the day! The City surpassed its goal and collected the highest amount of units ever donated at the City of Mission, and all of the blood collected will be making its way to our local hospitals in the next few days. Thank you to everyone who helped make this possible and to everyone who donated!

The Toy Drive collects thousands of toys for kids in need in our Community. If you would like to take part in giving back this Christmas, please bring a new, unwrapped toy to our Mission Police Department (1200 E. 8th St.).

The United Blood Services held a friendly “Battle of the Badges” Blood Drive at our Mission City Hall.

Upon arrival, donors cast their ballots for either Mission Police or Mission Fire Department and helped to save three valley lives with their donation! The City of Mission has a long and rich history of participation in our Community Blood Drive Program and we were proud to continue in that tradition! Thank you to everyone who donated!
