Have you seen our Mission Historical Museum’s Toy Exhibit on display at Speer Memorial Library?
Featured are the histories of the teddy bear, toy gun, toy soldiers, and electric toy train. The purpose of the exhibit is to promote dialogue on how toys are a reflection of who we are as a society during the time of their manufacture. Drop by and see for yourself! The City of Mission congratulates our Speer Memorial Library’s Rosie Alvarez on her retirement, after serving the citizens of Mission for 30 years!
Rosie Alvarez began volunteering in the Library long before she began working there – starting while she was an elementary student in Alton, and continuing throughout her school years.
