The City of Mission congratulates our Speer Memorial Library’s Rosie Alvarez on her retirement, after serving the citizens of Mission for 30 years!

Rosie Alvarez began volunteering in the Library long before she began working there – starting while she was an elementary student in Alton, and continuing throughout her school years. While working at Speer Memorial, Rosie returned to school and received her Masters in Library Science – 20 years after graduating from Pan Am! Rosie is an inspiration who touched the lives of her coworkers and citizens, alike.

“It has been an honor and a privilege to serve the citizens of Mission for these 30 years.” – Rosie Alvarez/Speer Memorial Library

Thank you, Rosie! Enjoy your retirement!
