Speedy Trails is named in honor of CPL. Jose Luis “Speedy” Espericueta, Jr., a Mission Police Officer who lost his life on June 20, 2019 during a response to a call for assistance. Corporal Espericueta had served with the Mission Police Department for 13 years.
