Our Mission Crime Stoppers served a warm Thanksgiving dinner to the senior residents at the Mission Nursing and Rehabilitation Center! As part of Employee Appreciation Week in the City of Mission, our City Directors and Supervisors served plates to City Staff. The City of Mission would like to say “thank you” to our hardworking, dedicated City of Mission Employees! Our Boys and Girls Club of Mission recognized veterans who work at the Club – David Aleman II and Xavier Sanchez. We thank them for their service! The City of Mission proudly has 44 veterans currently employed with the City. City Council Meeting 11/14/16 Our Shary Municipal Golf Course supports the youth of our community – hosting high school golf tournaments and making the course available to high schools throughout its peak season. We are growing the game of golf in Mission! Mission TX – City Employee Appreciation Veterans Luncheon Mission Fire Chief Rene Lopez, Jr, is retiring after 35 years of service to the City of Mission. To thank him for his service, the City of Mission gave Chief Lopez the Keys to the City. We wish Chief Lopez well in his retirement. The City of Mission and the Tobacco Prevention & Control Coalition of Hidalgo County encourage residents to make a plan to quit or help loved ones go one day without using tobacco during the American Cancer Society’s Great American Smokeout. In honor of Veterans Day, the City of Mission held a special appreciation luncheon for City Employees who have served our country, recognizing each one with a certificate.
