THIS is why Red Ribbon Week in Mission is so important. Maranatha Radio hosted its 2nd Annual “Healthy Families, Healthy Communities” 5k Run/Walk in Mission. City Council Meeting 10/23/2017 Kids of all ages had a Spooktacular time at our Speer Memorial Library’s Magic Show with the great Oscar Muñoz! In honor of Red Ribbon Week, our Mission Crime Stoppers are visiting schools across the Community to educate and encourage our youth in drug prevention. Visitors enjoyed a community altar exhibit, music, dancers, food, vendors, activities for kids and a costume contest! We look forward to seeing everyone at the Museum again, October 31st, for our Family Festival! Our Speer Memorial Library held its annual Costume Contest! City of Mission Employees were proud to take part in the swearing in of the new administration of Mustangville – the minitropolis at Mission CISD’s Mims Elementary! Mission TX – Unveiling of plaque and bust of Arnulfo “Tatan” Rodriguez, Jr. Mission TX – City Council Meeting 10/09/2017 Mission TX – Mission Historical Museum – “Public History, Memory, and Matanza – 1915” Mayor Norberto Salinas, our Mission City Council, and community leaders unveiled the City’s newest plaque and bust of Arnulfo “Tatan” Rodriguez, Jr. at the Park named in his honor. Arnulfo “Tatan” Rodriguez, Jr. was a veteran who served his country and the Mission City Council. Visit “Tatan” Park at the corner of Conway and 1st Street. RESIDENTS: Our Mission Food Pantry will have fresh produce every Thursday and Friday, from 9AM – 12PM, for those in need. The Mission Food Pantry is located at 115 S. Mayberry.
