Our City of Mission Mayor Dr. Armando O’Caña handed out “Years of Service Awards” to City of Mission Employees – beginning at 5 years of service, all the way up to 40 years of service (Belinda Garza)! We thank these Employees who have dedicated years of their lives to serve the public with the highest standards of excellence and accountability. Together they help make Mission “The Place to Be”! The results are in from the Battle of the Badges Community Blood Drive that took place at our Mission City Hall on Monday – and the winner is: OUR MISSION FIRE DEPARTMENT! Congratulations to everyone who participated! It was a close race – in fact, our Fire Department took the win over the Police Department by only 6 votes! BUT, the real winners are the countless patients across the Valley who will receive life saving blood thanks to all of the donors who packed City Hall throughout the day! The City surpassed its goal and collected the highest amount of units ever donated at the City of Mission, and all of the blood collected will be making its way to our local hospitals in the next few days. Thank you to everyone who helped make this possible and to everyone who donated! The City of Mission congratulates Ana Casanova on her Retirement after 31 years of service to the citizens of Mission!
