The City of Mission Mayor and City Council proclaim May 15th – May 21st as “NATIONAL POLICE WEEK” in Mission – to commemorate police officers past and present. Furthermore, the City of Mission declares Monday, May 16th, as “PEACE OFFICERS MEMORIAL DAY” – to honor peace officers who, through their courageous deeds, have lost their lives or have become disabled in the performance of duty. Members of our Mission Police Department play an essential role in safeguarding the rights and freedoms of our citizens of Mission, and we honor them for their courageous service.
