Sandra was a Mission resident and worked as a Communication Officer at the Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office. On her way to work on December 9, 2018, she tragically lost her life when she was struck by another vehicle that ran a stop sign at high speed. To commemorate her, the street where she grew up, Laredo St., now has the honorary name of “Sandra Coronado St.”
