The Mission Police Department held a press conference this morning to discuss the meteorite incident that took place on Wednesday, February 15th.
We want to thank Sheriff J.E. “Eddie” Guerra, Rep. Monica De La Cruz, DPS, and Constable Precinct 3 for joining us.
*Federal authorities have confirmed the Houston Air Traffic Control received reports of a meteorite west of McAllen.
At this time, the exact location of impact is unknown.
No damages or injuries have been reported to the Mission Police Department.
