In honor of National Crime Victims’ Rights Week, the Mission Police Department hosted the Garden of Light event. This was a day to support and stand with those that have been victims of crimes and also unite in solidarity with families that have lost a loved one. Over thirty families from all over the Rio Grande Valley, including eleven from Mission, joined us on this special day. The families had to opportunity to plant a tree in memory of those no longer with us, so their names will forever be remembered in the City of Mission.
