The Mission Police Department and our entire community is in mourning following the loss of an officer due to complications from COVID-19. DRIVERS: Please be advised. School Lane will be closed 8am-3pm on Thursday March 12 from Ragland to Shary Road to continue an overlay project. Seek alternate routes if possible.
The City of Mission will pay tribute to the 146 fallen Vietnam service members who called the RGV home, Friday March 13th at 10am. Valley Gold Star Family members (relatives who lost a loved one in military service) will read each name to remember the South Texas heroes, followed by the ringing of a bell in their honor.

Test time! More than 100 people showed up this morning to take the civil service exam to hopefully become Mission Police Officers or Firefighters. Mission’s Civil Service Department hosted the exam for entry level positions.
Road Closure
