The annual Winter Texan Fiesta was held on March 1, 2024 at the Leo Peña Placita Park. The Greater Mission Chamber of Commerce did an outstanding job putting on a great event. In Mission, we love our winter Texans and always welcome them with open arms! -

Mission’s Recycling Drop-off Center
The City of Mission held the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony of the first Recycling Drop-off Center. The center is located at W 15th St & Perkins Ave and was made possible through a Lower Rio Grande Valley Development Council grant awarded to the City of Mission. ♻️ This center offers a convenient avenue for recyclables such as bottles, cans, plastics, aluminum, cardboard, and paper that can be disposed of through the open window chutes at any hour, ensuring accessibility around the clock. -

Buenas Tardes Luncheon 2024
Congratulations to the Greater Mission Chamber of Commerce for hosting another wonderful Buenas Tardes Luncheon. This time, the spotlight was on the workforce with the theme 'Are We Ready for the Future Workforce?' It was an insightful discussion featuring Teclo Garcia, CEO of Mission Economic Development Corporation, Dr. Carlos Margo, Dean of Industry Training & Economic Development at South Texas College, and Natasha Del Barrio, CEO of Bert Ogden and Fiesta Auto Group in the Rio Grande Valley. -
