Miss Mission Teen/Miss South Texas Teen Maya Martinez brought a cake, goody bags and balloons to our Mission Police Department to show her appreciation to our police officers! She was joined by models from the Debi Lou Modeling Academy who helped her hand out candies and treats! Thank you Maya and all of the models for your kindness!

Mission Mayor Norberto Salinas, Mission City Manager Martin Garza, Mission Economic Development Corporation CEO Alex Meade, and the Greater Mission Chamber of Commerce CEO Josh Stockel visited the Southwest Steel Coil Company in Mission. Southwest Steel Coil processes and distributes flat-rolled steel and aluminum throughout the U.S. and Mexico, and has provided nearly 50 new jobs to our Mission area.

Mission businesses have until the last week of September to post “No Smoking” signs at all entrances.

The City will soon start offering the signs to businesses free of charge.
