Children, ages 7 – 12, embarked on a 4 week journey of adventure in Mission.

The National Butterfly Center hosted “Critter Camp” to connect children with nature through engaging experiences with plants and animals that can be found right here, in the RGV. Outdoor adventures, arts & crafts, and hands-on encounters reinforced important lessons about the Valley’s diverse wildlife, disappearing habitat, and environmental conservation. Camp leaders hoped to build skills and a passion for stewardship in the children.

All participants who completed a summer session received a complimentary Individual Membership good for one year of FREE admission to the National Butterfly Center.
