New Neighborhood Market Opens in Mission

Walmart Neighborhood Market brings smaller format, local fresh food favorites and employment opportunities to Mission’s community

The City of Mission celebrated the ribbon cutting of Walmart’s new Neighborhood Market store located at 1006 N. Bryan Road.

The new store, approximately one-fifth the size of most Walmart Supercenters, will provide local customers with a new, convenient option for grocery shopping needs, including fresh produce and a full service pharmacy. This store is one of only three Neighborhood Markets in the entire Rio Grande Valley, and will provide shoppers with 24/7 access to grocery store, pharmacy and gas station.

The Walmart Neighborhood Market format offers quick and convenient shopping, where you can even use online coupons for fashion, with a full-grocery department, including organic and natural selections. The store features prepared food options, fresh baked breads, self-serve deli and a bakery. The store’s pharmacy offers a full range of products and services. Pharmacy team members can answer product and prescription questions and customers can ask about health and wellness solutions.

The new store will employ up to 95 full- and part-time associates.
