City leaders have broken ground for the new Walmart “Neighborhood Market” set to open near Business 83 and Bryan Road, in early 2015. The new store, approximately one-fifth the size of most Walmart Supercenters, will provide local customers with a new, convenient option for grocery shopping needs, including fresh produce, a full service pharmacy, and a gas station. This store will be one of only three Neighborhood Markets in the entire Rio Grande Valley, and will be open 24/7.
