Friday, Feb. 12 (1pm – 8pm), and Saturday, Feb. 13 (10am – 5pm), at the Museum.

This event is aimed at highlighting a rich cultural awareness for hand crafted artisan work inspired by history and tradition both domestic and foreign. Admission is FREE to the public.

Visit MHM and shop from more than 60 artisans from various states in Mexico such as Nuevo Leon, Oaxaca, Tamaulipas, Distrito Federal, Veracruz and Guanajuato, among others. Unique products will highlight handcrafted textiles, artwork, jewelry like wooden watches and bracelets, chaquira beadwork, decorative candles, candies and more!

Entertainment on Friday will begin at 1:00pm featuring the unique and rhythmic sounds of Bliss Brothers, a musical experience of both salsa and cumbia with the support of keyboards, congas, and various other instruments. They will be followed by Grupo Jarocho del Valle, a regional folk musical style of Mexican sound from Veracruz set to impress with a sensational group of guitarists, a harpist, and vocalists, beginning at 3:00pm. The evening will close featuring a headlining performance by Mission’s own and Tejano Roots Hall of Fame Inductee, Juan Guerrero y Los Sheekanos at 6:00 pm. Don’t forget your dancing shoes!

Join us Saturday morning, from 10am – 11am, for delicious breakfast tacos and coffee, available through one of our exclusive local food vendors. Afterwards, take a trolley ride to Leo Peña Placita Park and enjoy the Mega Winter Texan Fiesta festivities, presented by the Mission Chamber of Commerce. Trolley rides will be available to and from both events throughout the day.

The 2nd Annual Artesano Market is presented by City of Mission, County of Hidalgo, City of Hidalgo, Mission CISD, Frost Bank, South Texas Infrastructure Group, and Taqueria Molcas Restaurant and BBVA Compass Bank.
