Our City of Mission Health Department passed the Texas Department of Agriculture’s Annual Inspection with a perfect score!
Every year the TDA does a thorough and intensive inspection of our mosquito spraying procedures throughout the City. Inspectors monitor when, how, and where we spray for mosquitos. They monitor the weather conditions at the time of spray, wind speed, GPS locations, travel and speed of the spray truck, etc. They also check our safety equipment, licenses, pesticide storage areas, labeling, etc. We are proud to report our Health Department passed with flawless results!
As for the current mosquito spraying status in the City – crews will resume once the weather improves to conditions mandated by law – no rain, no dense fog, and winds under 10MPH.
