Mission city leaders survey the city’s new sanitation trucks.
The City of Mission is taking control of the city’s trash collection service with its new, and very own, Sanitation Department. Members of the city council, along with Mayor Beto Salinas, and City Manager Martin Garza gathered outside City Hall to get a glimpse of two of the new trucks citizens will soon be seeing around their neighborhoods. In all, the city is acquiring 9-side loader trucks, 5 brush trucks, and more than 22,500 garbage cans. The new Sanitation Department will create 18 jobs and work to keep our Mission beautiful!
