City of Mission Leaders will celebrate our City of Mission’s two new dog park openings this Saturday (Jan. 19th), with a “Leash Cutting” Ceremony at our Bannworth Park (1822 N. Shary Road) from 10AM to 12PM!

Join us as we celebrate the City of Mission’s two new two-acre playgrounds where Mission’s four-legged friends and citizens can socialize and exercise while surrounded by gardens of butterflies and numerous shade trees.
The dog parks are divided into two sections – one for large dogs and one for small, and also feature a leashed dog area with shaded seating, watering stations for pets and owners, and a variety of amenities designed for dog training. A similar dog park will also open at our Bentsen Palm Park within the next couple of weeks (1801 S. Inspiration Rd.).
Hot dogs, chips and drinks will be provided following the Ceremony and our Mission Pawsible will host a contest for trophies with the following categories: Best Rescue Dog, Best Pedigree, Best Cross Breed, Beauty and the Beast, Best Tricks, Best Outfit, Cutest Dog, and Best All Around.
