Firefighter Leroy Garcia, Firefighter Adrian Villarreal, Firefighter Esequiel Rodriguez, Engineer Joel Saenz, Lt. Homer Salinas, Lt. Alonzo Gloria, and Deputy Chief Douglas Williams received the Hurst Tool Jaws of Life Green Cross Award for using the Jaws of Life to save the life of a man involved in a Mission car crash.

Bike Medics Alberto Juarez and Rogelio Garcia were honored with an award for their heroic deeds during the Texas Citrus Parade, when they rushed to the rescue as a car was inadvertently rolling towards a crowd of bystanders. The medics jumped inside the vehicle and stopped it, preventing any injuries or casualties.
