The latest information shows the RGV could receive anywhere from 2 to 7 inches of rain between Saturday and Sunday. To ensure our citizens are prepared, the City of Mission will be distributing sandbags Friday, October 19th, from 4PM to 9PM AND Saturday, October 20th, from 9AM to 2PM at our Jaycee Park (Los Ebanos Road & Barnes St) and Bannworth Park (1822 N. Shary Rd.). Limit is 6 bags per household and 10 bags per commercial bldg. Must have ID showing proof of Mission residency. Shovels are provided, but residents can bring their own to expedite the process.
