The City of Mission commemorated the life of Cpl. Jose “Speedy” Espericueta with a proclamation, declaring Oct. 4th as Cpl Espericueta Day in Mission. We will never forget the sacrifice he made. U.S. Congressman Henry Cuellar (TX-28), Sergio Muñoz, Jr. and State Representative Bobby Guerra all issued proclamations in his honor. #BackTheBlue #ThisIsForSpeedy #MissionMourns
More than a dozen local restaurants stepped forward and provided lunch for family, friends, first responders and city staff that attended the memorial for Cpl. Joey “Speedy” Espericueta. Law officers from around the nation attended the services for our fallen hero. Again, we thank our community for the tremendous outpouring of support. We couldn’t have done it without you. #ThisIsForSpeedy #MissionMourns #MissionStrong #BackTheBlue
Congrats to the Pioneer and Sharyland High School baseball teams ⚾️ on a successful and historic season! Never before have two Valley baseball teams faced off as deep into the playoffs – two teams from the same city and the same district vying for a spot in the state tournament. They made #MissionProud! #CityCouncilRecognition #PlayBall
🙏 PLEASE bring in your pets between 1-7pm. If you can’t, make sure they have a shaded place to rest and plenty of fresh water. If you can’t handle the heat the next couple of days, imagine being in a fur coat! You can also provide iced water bottles for your pets or cooling mats to lay on. A little kiddie pool will keep them cool and happy! #BeatTheHeat #HeatAdvisory #ProtectYourPets #MissionReady 🐶 🐱
