The City of Mission is excited to announce our very first transport of multiple dogs from our Mission Pawsible Program left for San Antonio! Nine Mission Pawsible dogs have found their forever homes! Members from a rescue organization loaded the dogs into a van and will send them to their new families in Texas, Colorado, Arizona, and various states across the country! We thank these, and all of our rescuers, who have made it their life mission to save the lives of animals.
Congratulations to our City Secretary’s Office and its Vital Statistics Department for receiving the 2017 “5 Star Exemplary Award”! Mrs. Anna Carrillo, City Secretary, presented the award to the Mayor and City Council. The award recognizes the Office for meeting the criteria that exemplify excellence in vital registration.
Our City of Mission Mayor and City Council recognize Target for its contribution to the “Heroes and Helpers Holiday Shopping Spree” in which more than 150 Mission children each received $100 to shop at Target! Mission Target Store Manager Dania Rodriguez and Target Area Supervisor Louie Rodriguez were both present to receive the recognition.
Christmas came early for more than 150 kids in the City of Mission! Our Mission Police Department and Mission Crime Stoppers held the annual Shop with Cops event at Target in Mission. Target donated $100 dollar gift cards to each child – who then shopped alongside our Mission police officers, firefighters, and city employees to pick out their very own Christmas presents!
