Mission hosting Mayor’s Christmas Tree Lighting

31st annual holiday lights and delights will run two days

 

Mission- Ring in the season with Mayor Dr. Armando O’Caña and Mission city leaders.  The City of Mission will kick off the holiday season with the Mayor’s Annual Tree Lighting and this year, the celebration will run two days. The public is invited to Leo Peña Placita Park on Friday, Nov. 22, and Saturday Nov. 23, for a FREE event for the entire family. A special tree lighting will highlight the holiday spectacular on Friday at 6:30 p.m.

“The holiday season is so special because it is a time when our community comes together with friends and family to celebrate peace, love and joy. We are so honored to host these festivities in our great city,” said Mayor O’Caña. “We invite our citizens to join us as we celebrate the holidays.”

The event will also include choir performances, moon jumps, life-sized Christmas cards for selfies, live music, games, food and craft vendors, a toy raffle and plenty of family friendly entertainment.
