Program teaches bystanders how to assist in an emergency before help arrives

Mission Fire Department

Mission FD is hosting another “STOP THE BLEED,” training course. Stop the Bleed is a national awareness campaign and call-to-action. It is intended to cultivate grassroots efforts that encourage everyday citizens to become trained, equipped, and empowered to help in a bleeding emergency before professional help arrives.

Saturday, Nov. 16  8am- 12pm

Mission Fire Department Central Station – 415 W. Tom Landry Ave.

The purpose of the campaign is to better prepare the public to save lives. The program raises awareness of basic actions to stop life threatening bleeding following everyday emergencies and man-made and natural disasters.

Course is FREE to the public but limited seating is available. If interested, please contact the Mission Fire Department at 956-580-8705.
