In accordance with the mission and policy set by the City Council, our legal team advances, advocates, and safeguards the interest of the City of Mission, aligned with all applicable laws. Our proactive approach to legal advocacy provides innovative, cost-effective, quality legal services to support the City Council, City Manager, and city staff.
About the City Attorney's Office
The office represents or supervises the representation of the City of Mission in all legal matters, including, among others, real estate, economic development, land use, labor and employment, civil litigation defense, and civil service representation. The office is responsible for the review and drafting of resolutions, ordinances, contracts, deeds, and other legal documents in which the city has an interest. In addition, our office provides legal counsel to several City Boards and Commissions, including, among others, the Planning and Zoning Commission and the Board of Adjustment.
