Our Mission Mayor and City Council approved a Resolution to apply for a grant that would expand the Hike and Bike Trail by nearly 3 miles, creating a loop that would give bikers access to a much larger riding area – 2.8 miles to be exact. The proposed expansion would pick up the trail where it currently ends near Bentsen Palm Road, loop it around the north side of the Rhodes Developments, and then back to Inspiration Road and back down to the trail. Mission City Manager Martin Garza believes an addition to our Hike and Bike Trail would “further promote the City’s mission to maintain healthy, active lifestyles within the community.”
