First & second dose vaccination clinic set in Mission
The City of Mission in partnership with Hidalgo County, Precinct 3 Commissioner’s Office, Mission CISD and Sharyland ISD will host a first and second dose COVID-19 vaccination clinic on Saturday May 22, from 8am-noon.
The 2nd dose is for people who received a first dose:
- April 21 or April 24 at Mission Event Center
- Please note that recipients who received their first dose on April 21, will be pushed back a few days. The return date on the vaccination card was originally set for May 19, but the clinic has been moved to Saturday, May 22. The location has also moved.
- Hidalgo County Health & Human Services will administer first doses on a first come, first served basis. They will also administer second doses to residents who missed their second dose of Moderna AND are still within the 42-day window from the date they received their first-dose, no matter where they received their first dose.
Vaccines will be administered 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. at the Boys & Girls Club of Mission Catholic War Veterans Gym, 800 E. 1st Street. All residents who are eligible for their 2nd dose vaccination should bring their ID and vaccination cards. If you lost your vaccination card, your name must be in the registration system to receive a 2nd dose.
Recipients are asked to download and print the vaccine fact sheets and fill out the registration forms to speed up the process. They must bring the first two pages (COVID-19 pre-screening form & fact sheet for recipients) filled out. Forms are available in English and Spanish. They can be downloaded here:
