New Public Safety Building in Mission – Full Ceremony

The City of Mission held a Ribbon Cutting and Push-In Ceremony for its new Public Safety facility!! What a great honor and testament to the city’s efforts to enhance community safety, quality of life, and to make Mission a safer community! Thank you to our city leaders and to everyone who attended! 🚒🚓

The 18,867-square-foot Public Safety Building, situated on a 3.3-acre property, is a $6.6 million investment fully funded by the Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone (TIRZ). This state-of-the-art facility now serves as the Mission Police Department’s second location and Mission Fire Department’s Station #6.

This new Public Safety Building was a necessity as Mission continues to experience rapid growth and development. With the city’s expansion, there is an increased demand for enhanced public services and infrastructure to maintain the high level of safety and service that residents deserve. The personnel at this facility will respond mainly to the southwest of the city limits but will always be ready to respond to emergencies throughout the region.
