Our Mission Mayor Dr. Armando O’Caña and City Council honor the life of Mission native, Maria Estella Guerra Salinas, who passed away on December 24th, 2018, at the age of 91. Estella held many esteemed positions and accolades during her lifetime – including being named Mission’s 1992 Woman of the Year! Estella was instrumental in making our Mission Historical Museum a reality – continuing to serve as a member until her death. We are grateful for the service Estella provided to the City of Mission, and we extend our most sincere condolences to the Salinas family.
