The Tobacco Prevention & Control Coalition in Hidalgo County is partnering with the American Cancer Society – RGV to raise awareness for the annual “Great American Smokeout.” The event is aimed at the 42 million Americans who currently smoke. They are encouraged to quit smoking — for at least ONE day. The City of Mission supports the effort and hopes it will deliver awareness in our community about the dangers of smoking.
