MISSION FIRE DEPARTMENT HOSTS OPEN HOUSE FOR FIRE PREVENTION WEEK
In recognition of Fire Prevention Week, October 3-9, the Mission Fire Department invites community members to attend a Fire Prevention Open House today, October 4, from 6-8 p.m., at Leo Peña Placita Park in downtown Mission.
There will be food, fun and games for the entire family as well as safety demonstrations for the kids.
This year, the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Fire Prevention Week theme is “Learn the Sounds of Fire Safety.” The NFPA encourages community members to:
- Look for places fire can start
- Listen for the sound of the smoke alarm
- Learn two ways out of each room
