Our Mayor Dr. Armando O’Caña provides Mission Residents the latest information regarding the storm.

Here’s some additional information:

All the major thoroughfares are open in the City of Mission. Please be cautious for secondary roads with minor standing water.

Mission Sandbag Locations will be open again Friday from 8AM to 5PM:
Jaycee Park – Los Ebanos Road & Barnes St.
Lions Park – 1500 Kika de la Garza Loop
Ray Landry Fireman’s Park – 906 Canal
1004 N. Shary Rd.
Limit is 6 bags per household and
10 bags per commercial bldg.
Must have ID showing proof of Mission residency.

Should Mission residents require transport to the shelter located at Veterans Memorial High School, or need assistance, please call our Emergency Operation Center at 580-8705.
Our Mission Police Department will be providing extra patrols throughout the City, for those who evacuated their homes.

*Update: The VMHS Shelter is now closed. Those looking to donate food can deliver the food to our Mission Food Pantry at 115 S. Mayberry Rd.


MISSION RESIDENTS: Starting at 7AM Friday, our City of Mission Sanitation Department will be going around the City picking up debris from the storm.
If you have damaged items you need to discard of – such as carpets, mattresses, furniture, sheet rock, etc. – please place them at the curb for our crews to collect. Residents can also call the Sanitation Dept to report the debris that is ready to be picked up – 583-2564.
